How does your pricing work? Is shipping included? Is there a handling charge?
We ship all our cheesecakes via FedEx Standard Next Day The Cakes and Brownies are shipped UPS. The price you see includes all shipping and handling charges.
We do not mark up shipping, nor do we impose superflous handling charges. We are in the business of shipping and handling desserts and we will not charge you "extra "for the privelege.
When shopping for cheesecakes and desserts online be sure to take into account the following:
- How big is the cake and how much does it weigh? (not just the diameter)
- What are the shipping charges? ( when do you find out? )
- How do they ship? (overnight or 2nd day)
- What are the handling charges?
Some online cheesecakes are as small as 15 oz. That's less than 1 pound!. On some sites your $39.95 cheesecake can end up costing you $85.00! Be careful!
How do you package your cheesecakes for shipping?
Our cheesecakes are blast frozen, then shrink wrapped with a heavy cyrovac plastic. They go into a specially designed strofoam container that surround the cheesecake with 2 " of insulation. This all goes in a heavy corrugated container. We ship all of our cheesecakes FedEx Overnight. The cheesecake will arrive either partially frozen or cold and ready to enjoy.
The packaging insures that every cheesecake will arrive in perfect condition. Please order with confidence. You'll get your order in perfect condition...we guarantee it!
Can I send a dessert to someone in Canada or a foreign country?
At this time no. It's very expensive and they cannot guarantee timely delivery. Custom issues also slow down the delivery. Our experience is that nobody is happy with the results.
Can I order a dessert to be delivered on a Monday, Saturday or Sunday?
Sorry, we usually .do not ship a dessert to arrive on Monday, Saturday or Sunday. Saturday & Sunday are too expensive and if we ship on Friday for Monday delivery, we run the risk of spoilage on the cheesecakes.
We can schedule Saturday deliveries for an extra $12.50 per item. Email us at orders@planetsbestcheesecake.com for details.
What happens if the recipient is not home?
Our packaging insures that every dessert will arrive in perfect condition. In the event that no one is home, the driver will leave the cake if it seems safe to do so. The cake should last two days in its container. ( especially in the winter months) Many of our deliveries are left at the door. As an alternative, we recommend that you ship to a business address if possible, if there is someone there all day to receive the package.
Can I ship to a P.O. box?
Sorry no. We can only deliver to a physical address.
Can I order today for delivery in the future?
Yes, you can. Just type in your preferred delivery date at checkout. We can schedule up to 3 months in advance.
If I order 2 desserts for the same address can they be sent in one package at less cost?
Unfortunately, no. Each Cheesecake has to go in it's own specially designed thermo package. And our shipping charges are based on a particular size and weight.
Can I include a note with the package?
Yes, you can. A gift message is included with our service, You will asked for the text when you check out.
What time do I need to order by to get my order shipped today?
Your order must be placed by 12 Noon EST in order to be shipped the same day.
How many serving can I get from each cheesecake?
The 1 1/2 lb serves 5-6
The 3 lb serves up to 12
The 4 lb serves up to 16
